OAAA works to connect students and families with scholarship opportunities, financial aid resources, and funding strategies that make education more accessible and affordable. We also support scholarship readiness through application guidance, essay development, and financial literacy education.

Access to financial support is a major factor in educational attainment. By increasing awareness and access to funding, we help reduce financial barriers that disproportionately impact Black students and ensure more individuals can pursue and complete their educational goals.

Divine 9 College Readiness & Scholarship Workshops

Divine 9 College Readiness & Scholarship Workshops are OAAA programs developed in collaboration with members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (Divine 9) to prepare students statewide for college success. These workshops provide guidance on college applications, FAFSA, scholarship searches, essay writing, and interview preparation, along with mentorship from fraternity and sorority members.

The program is designed to increase college access and affordability for Black students in New Mexico by connecting them to culturally grounded support, resources, and scholarship opportunities that help turn college goals into reality.
