The New Mexico Office of African American Affairs (OAAA) works to improve quality of life and expand opportunity for African Americans throughout New Mexico. Through partnerships, advocacy, community engagement, and strategic initiatives, we connect communities with resources, elevate community voices, and help advance solutions in education, health, economic empowerment, and civic participation. As a state agency, OAAA serves as a bridge between government, community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, and residents to ensure that African American perspectives and priorities are reflected in policies, programs, and opportunities that shape our state's future.
