Join us for the 2025 MLK Dream Weekend, a transformative 4-day celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This impactful series of events invites the community to reflect on Dr. King’s vision, celebrate his accomplishments, and recommit to his dream of justice, equality, and unity. The weekend begins on Friday, January 17, 2025, with the MLK Unity Candlelight Vigil from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at the African American Performing Arts Center in Albuquerque, featuring free parking and an inspiring start to the festivities. On Saturday, January 18, the MLK Commemorative March kicks off at 9:00 AM at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and University Boulevard NE on the UNM Campus, followed by a Commemorative Ceremony at 11:00 AM at Civic Plaza with powerful speakers and performances. Sunday, January 19, brings the MLK Service at 3:00 PM at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, sponsored by the Baptist Ministers Union, offering an afternoon of reflection, praise, and inspiration. The weekend culminates on Monday, January 20, with the MLK Breakfast at 8:00 AM at Embassy Suites, hosted by Grant Chapel, featuring keynote speakers and fellowship.
